The Faculty of Science at the University of Strathclyde invites applications from prospective qualified undergraduate students for the 2016 Undergraduate Scholarship for international students admitted into its full time undergraduate programs. The University of Strathclyde to celebrate excellence within its student body has established the Strathclyde Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship for international students.
The Strathclyde Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship is a tuition fee scholarship worth £3000 and this amount will be reduced from the tuition fee payable. This Scholarship is open to all excellent international students.
Eligibility
Applications for scholarships are open to students who meet the following criteria:
- the student must be paying full international fees
- the student must be self-funded ie not sponsored by Government, employer or educational institution
- the student cannot be in receipt of this scholarship and another University of Strathclyde scholarship
- the student must have accepted a conditional offer for a full time undergraduate course in the Faculty of Science by 20 May 2016
- the student must be able to demonstrate academic excellence based on their previous study
- the student must provide evidence of a desire to study at the University of Strathclyde
Please note this scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis
Selection criteria:
The award will be allocated based on academic calibre.

All available courses for full time undergraduate level of study. Includes:
- Computer and information sciences,
- Chemistry,
- Mathematics and statistics,
- Physics,
- Pharmacy and biomedical sciences

Scholarship Sponsorship duration
Successful undergraduate students will receive the full value of their scholarships for year of their degree, subject to satisfactory progress. This is a tuition fee scholarship and the amount of the full value of award for each year will be reduced from the tuition fee payable.
Scholarship benefits
The successful recipient will benefit from a £3,000 award partial-funding towards tuition fees
Method of Application
- To apply, you must have accepted a conditional offer for a full time undergraduate course in the Faculty of Science.
- Applicants should download and complete the Faculty of Science International Scholarships Application Form and email the completed form to science-enquiries@strath.ac.uk
DEADLINES:
Applications for Session 2016/2017 (September 2016 entry) has been on since 28th January 2016. The deadline for submission of completed applications is 20 May 2016.
PLEASE NOTE:
Applicants will be informed whether their application has been successful by 31 May 2016.
Only students who meet the quality criteria will be eligible and the Department reserves the right not to allocate the award if insufficient quality applicants apply.
